I can't find this driver in the edgy kernel, but I've seen the patches
submitted to linux-kernel and ACK'd by Jeff Garzik, so I will include

little while for a package to go from uploaded to -proposed.) Please

Fabian, in general, you can look at the ubuntu trees of Ben and myself
on http://www.kernel.org/git/. In this case, Daniel had sent the patch
to the kernel-team mailing list, but I dropped the ball getting it into
the tree because I thought it had been mailed earlier along with some
other changes.
Fix is entirely done in X driver, rejecting from linux-source-2.6.17.

For SRU: Turning on AGP Fast Writes can hang the chipset on certain
combinations of AGP Radeon cards and northbridges. The fix is a small
patch to xorg-video-ati which disables fast writes unconditionally as
they are only a (small) performance enhancement.
