On the Karmic beta Minimal CD, One is unable to change partition type.
If the partition is marked 'do not use', one is unable to change it. If
the partition is to be newly created, one is unable to change it from
the default EXT4.
On further reflection, it's possible that this problem is the same
problem as manifest in #362361, as 'do not use' is a partition type.
