wasn't around anymore. I will fix the code to use the new convenience
gstreamer API to get thumbnails.

I got the fix. There were some subtle differences between Ubuntu's
applications.menu file and Ubuntu Studio's. I changed it so those
differences don't exist anymore (except the audio video section).
The screensaver listing problem disappears after doing that.

This is _crucial_ for Ubuntu Studio. We are very close to have to (for
the first time) make a release without a real time kernel. If we can get
a freeze exception though, the linux-rt of 2.6.27 will be ready for
release.
Only a few minor issues in amd64 which are being solved already.

the mounted point of the pendrive
check it with df and make /cdrom be a link to that.
Btw, I thought ubuntu mounted cdroms in /media/ so check that guide is
doing things the Ubuntu way. I might be wrong but I don't have time to
check right now.

I guess the firewall is blocking the ports apt uses. Since all the
lines in the /etc/apt/sources.list of Ubuntu Studio are http, it will
only use that port (80). Can you browse the web in those machines?
