One year and two ubuntu releases later, this bug is still unfixed. Are
there any plans to actually fix it? Perhaps the official position is
*not* to fix this bug. What would be the reason for that?

Just as an update, the latest libgcc update doesn't fix this. It's three

The current gfortran-4.8 package in Trusty (4.8.2-19ubuntu1 as of today)
miscompiles CASTEP to a useless state, regardless of compile flags. Even
-O0 will result in a useless binary. The main problem is the binary
misreads values stored in between blocks, such as

Hello again,
Although I still haven't given 2.6.32-24 a go with the double suspend

I've got a couple of questions regarding mainline kernel testing. This
is especially so because every unsuccessful test will make me force

candidate?

Sorry for the many messages. I was convinced that apport-collect would
only use one comment. If you grep dmesg for acpi_sleep you will see
it's passed as a command line argument in grub. I think I've done it

Nevertheless,
Ah, cool. I'm sorry for all that log spam, then. I wouldn't have sent so
much info had dmesg given me any error messages regarding the unknown
option. I'll report back as soon as the next kernel is installed.

OK, I'm attaching a NEF edited with ViewNX. Let's see if launchpad

Note again that the correct image can be extracted with the command

Hello everybody,
Following the updates to linux-image-2.6.27-14 I got today, there was an
excuse for new testing. However, the result is the same: this new image

I also own a T400 (2765TDG in my case). I haven't tested jaunty yet, but
in intrepid, consistently successful suspend/resume and hibernate/resume
required disabling one core for about 10 seconds right before sleep and
reenabling it right after resuming. I found the suggestion and the
script here:
Also, could bugs #359728 and #362120 be related or even duplicates of
this one?

I'd like to make a small point. If you are using linux-backports-modules
(lbm) because you need a newer wifi driver, the module that regulates
which channels you see is no longer cfg80211 but lbm_cw_cfg80211.
Thus, the line that needs to be added to /etc/modprobe.d/options is

Just adding some more noise by saying that this also happens in a VM
running under VirtualBox.

Hello everybody,
I want to confirm this behaviour in a T400, using the x86_64 kernel in
