I'd like to emphasise that the OOM problem only happens with KDE. I have
several DE installed including Unity, GNOME3, Cinnamon. But none of them
caused a OOM, at least I never noticed. But in KDE, most of the time
when chrome is opened, it triggers OOM. dmesg tells that, sometimes
kwin_x11
I was using 4.4.0-21 as reported by `uname -r` which is default in

The problem is caused by 3rd party application installing own versions
of Qt libraries. In my case, it is MF 710 3G modem used by sold by some
mobile operators here (Bangladesh). The libraries are in
`/opt/Teletalk_3G/usr/lib` (for Teletalk provider). The solution is just
remove those libraries.
On a 32 bit Trusty, This works as an workaround. Thanks to San Lin
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libxmlbird.so.1 /usr/lib/i386-linux-

I can confirm that this bug also affect the bluefish-editor. I am on
Ubuntu 14.04 and I am attaching two screenshots before and after
bluefish get blurred! Even after I used the legacy scrollbar.

PS:
Now, I am using Ubuntu 14.04 (Unity not GNOME)

Apport recoverable error when no policykit
. However, file 8 is selected
instead as if it is after file 1.
Similarly, if I press Right while on file 5, file 11 is selected while I
expect to select file 4 as it is located before file 5.
