I can confirm that this bug is fixed in current gutsy (1/10/07) which
uses mplayer version 2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu11. This plays mp3 files properly,
whether on the command line or via gmplayer. I have tested the following
codecs: mad, mp3, and ffmp3.

This bug is fixed is fixed in current gutsy (1/10/07). gnome-panel does
not crash following installation of packages, whether using the
add/remove tool, apt-get, aptitude or synaptic. gnome bugzilla indicates

Henrik: It seems this is correct behaviour, assuming that the nautilus

Nautilus uses wrong icons for text
Correct behaviour for this would apparently be for the nautilus window
to show the same icon as in the properties dialog. Current gutsy
(1/10/07) does this (nautilus version 1:2.20.0-0ubuntu3) and the bug was
fixed upstream for nautilus version 2.14.

OOo-bugs discussion establishes that the bug is not present in other OSs
or in the official build. The test document works fine with current
gutsy (1/10/07) - no crash on conversion to ppt.

I can't reproduce this in gutsy beta (OOo 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu2). I've tried
it from writer, calc, impress and base, i've tried searching for over a
dozen different terms within both index and find. Unless anyone has any
objections, I'm changing the status to Fix released.
