the rtc driver module to /etc/modules) does not seem to work since
hwclock.sh is called before the modules in /etc/modules are loaded.

Installing from jaunty 20090112 alternate left me with an empty (zero
length) /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. I copied the
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.failsafe file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf and rebooted.
This gave me a usable screen with a grainy look and some strange color
artifacts.

After further investigation I have found that the ticking noise is not

I can confirm this bug trying to boot the 20080103 desktop cd on a G3
iMac. Typing exit at the busybox prompt just reboots the system.

I get the same error message with the Hardy Desktop CD daily build
(latest tested: 2008-01-02) on a Dell OptiPlex GX100 system with a Intel
i810 graphics chip.
