I'd like to report that on my Samsung N510 with ION LE, I can't get my wireless
to work.
In Lucid, the kernel module r8192_pci used to work for my onboard wlan adapter.
In Maverick kernel, the module r8192e_pci is loaded. It creates the
interface and I can also see

I really have no idea why this has status fix committed. I just
upgraded to from intrepid to jaunty and this one is still open. The
workaround helped, btw.

No, sorry, don't have anything left from that system... this might have
been an error that only occurred during the development cycle and so it

In latest gutsy, HAL yesterday stopped working and complained about missing
username haldaemon.
Because of this, network-manager couldn't find my wireless devices.
Doing sudo useradd haldaemon fixed the warning and hal worked again.

I just upgraded to 2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu7.
Playing avi with mp3 and just mp3 works fine, but now mpeg1 is broken.
Looks like this:
Requested audio codec family [mp3] (afm=mp3lib) not available.
Enable it at compilation.

This used to work now for some time in xmms-1.2.10+cvs20050209-1, but
now it's broken again... the patch seems to have been dropped.

It was back in May, so it was probably Dapper Flight 6, vdr probably at version
1.3.37.
I haven't tried it on any newer versions.
