I have a IeI AFL2-W15A, industrial panel PC that has a RT3090 wireless card.
Exactly the same issues as above but I have not been able to get it to work
with most of the suggested fixes either.
The only thing that works is the deb that @motheprime suggests.
Install that and everything seems fine.
If you install wx you actually get editra as well but it isn't working

#221973 Was required in hardy because else it won't start after a reboot. When

How hard is it to create a package with just the udev rules and have
dependencies set up from all three of them?
This would include the group and the rules.
Just a suggestion, i'm not good enough at packageing to do it myself and
for the moment I don't have time to learn.

I can confirm that it works with Acer Aspire 3003 LMI and gome-power-
manager_2.17.90-0ubuntu2 in feisty. Whatever fixed it should be done for
edgy as well as running unplugged is somewhat risky without knowing your
battery status.

kernel 2.6.17-10.27 is the one that I'm running.

I don't know why but i guess that update to 2.6.17-10 kernel in edgy somehow
made my touchpad unusable.
It doesn't respond to movment or clicks.
I have a Aser Aspire 3003Lmi.

This is more serious than i first thought.. The touchpad doesn't work in
Windows either.
I dualboot and went in to windows to check if the touchpad worked there but no.
It doesn't work in linux-X or linux-console with gpm.
It doesn't work in Windows either. The touchpad seems broken..

I just dissasembled my computer to check that it wasn't a physical
hardware failure... and it was. I'm sorry for bothering people. I just
reconnected a lose cable and the touchpad started working again.

A external USB mouse works so it isn't mice in general.
