After I installed Karmic, altough I do have a display, which is good, the computer hanged a few times (after 10 to 20 minutes use everything stops). I know this is not the place to discuss this problem, but as David said he is using th HP2540p without problem and I don't know how to get directly

Public bug reported: I use a lot the suspend feature and most of the times it works without problems. A few times, like once a week, I suspend the computer without a problem but when trying to resume I find the computer as it was powered off. I push the power button and Linux boots just fine.

It is very intrusive, I know it is suppose to be a notification, but I think the upper right (or left) is the best place to show the notifications. I believe that in a few months I would be confortable and used to thus new positioning, but till then... As I don't know the rationale for this
