I get a green loading bar (instead of the Ubuntu orange) and the
Libreoffice About window displays the message about the missing git
binary (I know that git is not installed on my system). This does not
feel integrated into the system. Unless the change from orange to green
was intentional.

Sorry, I take my earlier comment back. It seemed that the Software
Center was working fine. But no, I can only search applications and view
their info, screenshots etc. But when I click on Install button, nothing
happens.

I get this even with the latest updates. But the Software Center window
does not close and I can use the Software Center just fine. But the
error keeps popping up still.

[Lenovo Y300] Microphone is unable to record any audio
Hello David.
I followed the instructions that you posted. I can confirm that the
patch works.
I can hear audio. My microphone is also being detected and I can hear my
voice clearly (in programs like Skype).
