Till Kamppeter : When printing a postscript file, the bug does not
happen. It only happens when printing with my HP printer so far. I
removed error_log, did sudo cupsctl LogLevel=debug and printed with my
printer. I attach the clean error_log file from /var/log/cups .

2.6.27-8.17 kernel from intrepid-proposed. I previously built linux
kernel with Richard Huges upstream patch and it definitively fixed the
bug. Installing Linux kernel from intrepid proposed bring back the bug
to life, so that probably

ubuntu does not use static configuration in xorg.conf since Hardy. The
only reason why there should be any option enabled in Xorg is for
drivers that are not enabled in Xorg by default (such as closed source
