According to the system docs, the Fan Control Unit is expected the OS
kernel to interact, otherwise the fans are switched to max rpm. I guess
this indicates that the bug should be bound to the kernel package.

I found the matter of problem!
For some reason, my VG gets disabled on every boot! When I do lvscan
(after getting into manual fix mode), I see all volumes are inactive.
After I do vgchange -a y, the VG gets enabled and I can continue the
boot process. And this happens at every boot.

Same issue on 945/jaunty. Random freezes. Surprisingly enough, in most cases it
coincides with high activity in gnome-terminal (listings, build process etc).
The system is alive, nothing suspicious in dmesg except

Actually there are 2 packages in Debian: festvox-ru (actual data) and
festival-ru (empty, just includes festival and festfox-ru as
dependencies). If it is going to be available in Karmic, feel free to
close this bug after the import. How could we ensure that these
packages are included?
