I have the same problem with an Lenovo X1 Carbon 3 and Ultradock.
Upgrading the kernel to 4.6.5 mainline fixed it, although the laptop
refuses to suspend while attached to the dock.

Yes, still happening with 11.10. I'm in the habit of Alt-Tabbing twice
after resuming from suspend now.
I don't think this is related to flash - I have flashblock installed and
rarely use flash.

I also lost my panel and launcher. At the time I was modifying settings
in compizconfig, in particular the maximumize settings.
Logging in/out and rebooting didn't bring back the launcher and panel.
All I had was nautilus running. Starting unity --replace from an
xterm that I started from
Also occurs on a Dell Vostro 1500. Happens not only when resuming from
ordinary suspend, but also from hibernate, where it is particularly
annoying (the machine hibernates again).

I've been experiencing exactly the same problem on a Dell D420 laptop
ever since upgrading from 9.04 to 9.10 beta, and it still exists in a
fully up to date 9.10. Let me know if there's more information you
need.

GHCi now uses Haskeline (http://hackage.haskell.org/package/haskeline),
a readline-clone written in Haskell. readline was initially replaced by
libedit for licensing reasons, but libedit had a number of problems
prompting the switch to Haskeline.
Debian/Ubuntu could decide unilaterally to use
the ABI changes in now before you do so?
FYI, the only other important fix that affects Linux in 6.10.4 is this

Workaround 1: rmmod ehci_hcd does *not* work, at least with the USB
flash key I'm testing with here.
Workaround 2: adding 'irqpoll' kernel parameter *does* work (although
