This is a quick heads up about a w3m bug that was reported many years ago and
has not seen any responses. As w3m is installed by default and the bug has easy
steps to reproduce the problem I'm making a last ditch effort to raise the bugs

For the first bug I recommend that you upstream it. There is not a lot
That's an extremely useful reply and is the sort of information I could have
done with a few years ago. I won't follow that suggestion at the moment though

Just for the record, I do my testing at a University with hundreds of
access points that I roam between and two seperate wifi networks that I
roam between. I have tested this roaming across thse access points with
both unencrypted and WPA encrypted connections. I _did_ see wifi
connection problems
The Red Hat bug is somewhat different as I believe they keep more old
kernels around than Ubuntu. A broken resume from hibernate rarely
results in complete data loss as the kernel buffers are usually flushed
before the computer is hibernated. It's about as bad as doing as

EeePC Volume and Wireless Hotkeys Do Not Function Out-Of-The-Box with Ubuntu
(8.04 Hardy LTS, Intrepid Alpha 1)
I have just tested this using the procedure described in steps to
reproduce and this is still here with BOTH compiz and metacity (I do not
believe this is a bug in the window manager as it is being reported by
gnome-panel). The only difference between using compiz or metactiy seems

have to remember to edit /etc/modules one day to remove rfkill-input)...

After you've done the toggling does
/usr/bin/sudo iwlist scan
report results?
The next thing is if so does restarting Network Manager
/etc/dbus/event.d/25NetworkManager restart
help?
If the first thing doesn't even work it sounds like the wifi

The -84 hell is for because Linux kernel syscalls typically return negative

Can you reproduce this problem with a Jaunty liveCD?
I happened to go to a near out of battery condition on my EeePC 900 with
a recent Jaunty (as of a week ago) and the system correctly suspended to
RAM.

The last patch I referred to is for wifi only and has nothing to do with volume
keys. It is solely so that wifi works out of the box (hotplugging and all)
without having to add special options to the kernel command line.
Be careful though - the patch in its current state will break those
