Unfortunately removed 22-7 prior to rebooting so cant say if that's

Thanks for this, and for all you effort.
Unfortunately I am not running Feisty, but was just trying out the livecd in
the hope that it might sort the sound problem. Will the new kernel be in the
next release of Feisty, since this will be the only way I can try it?

Using latest Feisty (12 Jan). Tried to install but hung up at the partitioner
stage. Wouldn't even show me the disc layout for me to choose options.
Not sure what PC this is (am installing at work), but it's an RM something or
another.

Have just run the latest Feisty (12 Jan) and unfortunately there's still no
sound.
Not sure what Kernel version it has, but still nothing!

Hi,
I am getting no sound through my laptop (Toshiba Tecra A8). The soundcard is an
intel ALC262 (although it also reports another Realtek soundcard). The
soundcards are fully detected, and the sound works fine with the headphones in.
The 'beep' in the terminal also works.
