I'm running 11.10 64-bit with Eclipse 3.7.0 and the problem still exists. Actually, it came back because I had this fixed before I did the dist-upgrade. In 11.04, I modified the startup script so that eclipse would use the old-fashioned scrollbars, but now it's using overlay scrollbars again.
