Alberto, sure that could work in principle. Good point.
- We'd have to not only copy the .service file, but modify its Exec=
line to point inside the correct snap and update the file when a new
snap version gets installed (or delete it if the new snap doesn't use
the file anymore, etc).
- What
I tested with chvt over ssh, didn't reproduce.
HOWEVER, this seems a touch harder to reproduce than I had thought
originally. So my earlier lack of success reproducing in different
cases carry less weight than I hoped.
However, with RAOF's help, I have a bit more of a verbose message from
X. I
But that message comes after, not before the EnterVT error. And seems
to happen during a LeaveVT call. So that might simply be a response to
the previous EnterVT failure.

Not all the attached packages have the exact same cause listed in the
description. But they all have hardcoded paths at build time that don't
facilitate run-time relocation in a snap.
One answer is certainly to just build them differently when we include

OK, so with [1] I'm feeling a little better about the departments.db
mystery. There still doesn't seem to be information about which clicks
are listed in the database, and thus which clicks you should have
installed before running the init-departments tool. If I'm

No, I get that. But you've marked that package as "Multi-Arch: same"
which says that you can install multiple arches of that package at the
same time. And that's not true. So ideally you'd fix that Multi-Arch
tag and maybe
