Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
EFI/ZFS install

Somehow I installed Linux 6.8.0-1013-aws alongside Linux
6.8.0-40-generic. I did not really care and just wanted to make 'Linux
6.8.0-40-generic' the default/primary grub boot option.

It seems that /etc/grub.d/10_linux_zfs always selects the lexically
sorted first vmlinux/initrd as grub default/primaray 'Ubuntu 24.04 LTS'
entry.

Setting GRUB_DEFAULT="Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with Linux 6.8.0-40-generic" did
not help.

I skimmed the 10_linux_zfs file and found no indication that
GRUB_DEFAULT is being observed.

Attached is a grub-mkconfig output.

It would be nice to have the possibility of different kernels - but as
default I need the "generic".

kernel"
