With out LDAP setup epople don’t realize that a bit of white text
»Other« is where they log in. In particular when it is not part of a
list, where it could be inferred from context. If there’s only »Guest«
and »Other« it looks really bad.

*six* keybindings now!
That doesn’t sound like a very thought-out strategy to map six bindings only to

taking screenshots triggered via the keyboard.

Ugh, at least with the Alps touchpad on my Thinkpad X301 the new cursor
behaviour makes clicking links feel like playing bomberman in an ice-

This is Trackstick Emulation mode, and it’s super-annoying. I’ve read
«man synaptics» up-and-down and there is no clear way to disable this.
Is it FingerPress? To what level do I have to set it to disable? 256?

You are probably right about the misconfiguration of
/etc/grub.d/windows. My Dell Studio XPS is configured for dual boot to
Microsoft Windows 7. If I want to boot to Windows, I press the Shift
key which brings up the menu and lets me choose Windows - if I do
nothing, it boots into Ubuntu Linux.
