Bad word choice on my side, of course downgrading to NFSv3 is not a fix, but rather a workaround. We have also been using NFSv4 since 10.04 and NFSv3 has problems with lock files, as far as I've heard, so of course NFSv4 needs to be fixed. Additional information (not sure if relevant to this bug
