My old MP3MAN 1/2 gig mp3 player is able to be renamed in Windows but
not in Ubuntu. I'm not sure if this is something that all players can
do but it is something that could be well worth looking into (as I don't

Fantastic I now have a boot splash screen however when shutting down the
system hard crashes this is the problem I had in Dapper that is still
specific to the card driver I believe.

I think that if this tool is going to add a hardware profile to a
machine for bug reporting then this would be a good app to build into
the installer therefore the hardware profile is in place from day 1.

How about as an option where by there is a simple tick box that says
click here if this computers hardware has already been registered or
something similar, which could then tie the pc in with your database id
and thus alleviated this situation.

Where I give two links one is an mpeg video of Mark's talk at debconf6
and the other is an ogg. The mpeg file works where as ogg doesn't yet
ogg is the media with full support. I will retrack down the links and
