Kile still does not work.
I am unable to compile from the Kile sources either, because they forgot
to include the make file.
Can you consider deprecating the Kile installation in the Synaptic to a
stable version?

Can you talk to Canonical and have them include only stable versions of Kile
in the Synaptic Package Manager?
