With the most recent lucid updates, I am still unable to see the camera
under Nautilus when it it plugged in. The same thing happens with both
my Ixus 75 and also Canon 50D. Still no pop-up mentioning that a camera
has been detected..

Applications are also very slow to load.
Jaunty was running very quick and snappy before I upgraded to Karmic for
testing, so I don't believe it to be any kind of hardware issue.

Sorry let me clarify, the Hard-disks aren't SCSI devices, but rather
SATA drives (if this has anything to do with it!)
