I have narrowed down the problem to the videos resolution. If the size is 576 x 240 it will hard lock the system. Have no idea why, but maybe their is a bug in the video driver and the accel of the video. -- Totem hard locks system when playing divx5 avi's and savage video drivers

I felt the need to look into this some more and tried to use the magic keys in the kernel to recover but I was unable to. Also I am going to add a 1 meg file of the mpg in question. I used dd to extract it, if more is needed let me know. I would play it but I know the outcome. --Richard Blumel

Well to my dismay I checked the file I uploaded and find it didn't reproduce the error. But I did figure out a key needed to reproduce the error the hyphen in the text file must be in bold. so if it was written in simple html bTest - /btset I found this to be critical in reproducing this problem.
