when I boot with noapic eventually irq 7 (spurious) fails and is
disabled ... usb used irq 7 so then no usb.
boot with apic ... if in ubuntu logo boot screen or Xwindow (nvidia) then no
problems ... as soon as I switch to a console (alt + fn) then system hangs.
somtimes console is random colours

ok jackd was telling me that it couldn't connect then did anyway ... ?
but now has reverted to its old bahaviour ... can't connect but the (firepod)
unit shows connection (blue light).
ok so i reset the bus and it works ... for a while until i load up a project in
ardour2.
