Thanks for the helpful hints. Yes installed it within Win XP, using with Wubi which comes with ubuntu as default for window users. My experience - it is very smooth installation and did not give any trouble. Since it is installed thro' wubi, I can uninstalled the ubuntu from windows itself as if
