One way I find useful sometimes is installing software to an alternate
prefix folder other than "/". Sandbox-installation if you will. Then
figure out the paths of all the files installed and delete them from
the actual folder.

I installed a version of sofytware (gnukhata) via a .run file
there is a newer version available (1.3.3.) at gnukhata.in
due to some issues i was advised to install the new version
However there was / is not recommended method to uninstall the old version
So i used the find command to find
