I recently tried Gnash 0.8.6 (OSALT to Proprietary Adobe Flash), came up
with these thoughts. Tried with Firefox-3.5 & Google chrome for linux

1) Flash videos run well, but start up time is more than Adobe Flash
2) Memory consumption was not much of a problem for me (around 32MiB)
3) CPU usage was little more than concern, some times my lappy was making
noise (reached peak many times while playing videos)
4) Never broke while playing video
5) I expected Gnash not to allow Flash cookies, but it did allow.
