/yuva vividha:a festival of learning with ICTs/

Learning through living... Lifelong learning... Learning Communities

6 to 7 March, 2009
at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College
37th Road, Off Linking Road, (Near National College), Bandra West,
Mumbai 400 050

*Introduction*

The college years are a time where values, competencies and knowledge
for the future are nurtured in the young. Information and Communication
Technologies or ICTs which have arisen from a convergence of personal
computers and the Internet have come, in the last decade or so, to play
a vital role in how people live, learn and work.

This has opened up a range of new career possibilities for software
professionals. This festival will introduce young engineering students
to many professional avenues that ICTs make possible, through
demonstrations and hands-on activities, presentations, workshops and
interactions with established professionals.

The exposure will enable them to get the big picture and to draw on the
experiences of experts and organisations to map their own journeys
towards higher education and a career based on information technology.

*Objectives
*

    * To introduce Free Software and gain knowledge of its
      multi-dimensional aspects and applications.
