hi all, don't go for a compaq or hp laptop (a friend of mine lost 3 kg wait after he took a compaq)... I'm certain that you'll regret if you do... I prefer dell vostro n series cos they don't come with any operating system pre installed (you don't need to pay for windows [:)] ) and they are good

I use a refurbished DELL Latitude 620. I have no complaints. Its fast and runs UBuntu (configuring the wireless was tough though). I have to confess that I am not a power user, most of my use is limited to email, documents, internet etc Never used it for any real programing =Configur
