Hello,

I wonder if it would be possible to use a vlan enabled interface for d-i
installation. Since the alternate CD contains the vlan package, I tried
to use eth0.3 for netcfg/choose_interface. But netcfg seems to strip the
dot and the vlan number from the interface name, so only eth0 instead of
eth0.3 is configured.

Assuming that the install kernel has vlan support built in, adding vlan
support to the installer should be straight forward, AFAICS:

1. Stop fiddling with chosen interface name.

2. If the interface name matches one of the vlan name patterns, add vlan
   package to the install environment (use anna somehow for that?)

Any hints?
