I would like to know if there are at restrictions on hunting for a
local sponsor for Ubuntu LoCo team especially with the absence of
Ubuntu Marketing team and the tight restrictions on CD distributions.

I think the problem you run into is: what are we giving back to them?
I have a sponsor for a cds, who probably wouldent mind us handing out
a few business cards, but i dont know that ubuntu would be okay with
that.

Companies tends to sponsor events especially youth events for two main
reasons, tax deduction and their logo/name/whatever to be displayed so
this is not what I'm after but if Canonical/Ubuntu have anything
against that or have some sort of blacklised sponsors/companies.
