can I show the
diffences between the original sw-linux and my file? I anticipate at this
stage changes only occur in debian/control.

mono is already 1.9.1, which is updated in Debian Lenny
http://packages.debian.org/source/lenny/mono
However in Ubuntu it is still only 1.2.6, but it seems to be lack of
people to update mono and the original maintainer seems to be busy.
what is the proper procedure to sync the Debian 1.9.1 to U
Now I would like to package opennurbs-4.0
It has a simple makefile that takes no configurable options, which uses
its internal zlib and compiles into a single static file libopenNURBS.a
For Ubuntu, obviously I need to use the system zlib provided by Ubuntu
instead, and I would also want makefile
