I was also unaware that UCDs are allowed to be mentors, and this seems
very very wrong for me. If this is actually the case, I feel that we
need to change it so only MOTU or greater can be mentors. Jaunty is in
really not usable at all for day to day w
Talking on IRC, I think a good comprise is limiting direct uploads to
REVU to those with Ubuntu Universe Contributor. The reasoning behind
this is that someone who has UUC is more likely to stick around, and
know who to ask to help get sponsors and the packaging is less likely
to require hand holdi
I might be possible to simply change all instances of gmail to
googlemail since US based accounts can use googlemail.com unless I'm
misunderstanding the bug.

I haven't seen any font changes in the past few days on LP; could you
post a screenshot somewhere?
As for OpenID, if your using noscript with firefox, it will interfere
with the login (its a bug in Launchpad's OpenID server, since, to my
knowledge, openid works on other sites).

+1 on reverting this upload until a consensus among -motu and -devel

I added comments to the Launchpad bug explaining the FHS violation the
modification causes, and why its a problem is greater detail.
I generally think that something which is this invasive should have

As no one has voiced any concerns aside form a slight ambiguity that
has been cleared up, I'm declaring that we have reached a consensus on
the key team policy, and now can declare it an official MOTU policy.

Coming off the last MOTU meeting, I'd like to introduce the
ubuntu-cruft-buster team (complete with orange garbage icon action).
As the name suggests, the point of this team is to remove packages
from the archive that have been crusty, obsolete, buggy

Recent work on REVU already exists into linking it against the PPA (it's
almost at a working prototype stage, but I'm suffering a case of coders
block). We're already done work to link REVU, and Launchpad's logins, as
well as somewhat streamline the entire process.

The easiest solution would simply be to use passive mode. Its likely an
issue that people upload to old address vs revu.ubuntuwire.com

As anyone who've been following along in #ubuntu-motu, I've been
working to roll out a series of upgrades to REVU in a hope to bring it
more in line with 2008 in terms of usably and look. The first of these
major updates, openid based login to Launchpa
