Is there any way you can get a more recent wine than 1.6.2 in the apt repository? Wine 1.6.2 was released more than 2.5 years ago, which in Wine-time is pretty ancient. And it's one of the packages that takes a tremendous amount of time to compile, especially on slower machines. That combination

/usr/share/doc/quake/README.Debian Suggestion. In that file, maybe add at the end of the second paragraph: "Both the directory name and the files need to be in lower case." The MS-DOS stuff is upper case, and the GNU/Linux quake executable looks for lower case files. Best regards, Norbert -- U
