Hi all, Sorry for the delay in sending the minutes. I forgot when I volunteered to write them that I would be away for the weekend.
Naming of the "Universe Hackers" team ------------------------------------- The first item on the agenda was the naming of the new team for use by the MOTU Council to grant Ubuntu membership. The names that were put forward in response to Daniel's request for suggestions were looked at, and the ones that had some approval from the resulting thread were selected and discussed. The most popular of these names were then put to a vote, with the name "Universe Contributors" winning by a large margin. Discussion following this led to the launchpad id "universe-contributors" being selected. Concern about the similarity to the existing "ubuntu-universe-contributors" team was noted. In order to ensure that this similarity was not carried forward it was decide to rename the current team. There was a period of discussion over whether the new name should be REVU-specific to reflect the current use of the team, or more general to provide a single open team for people to join. This led to a vote with the former option winning. The name "revu-uploaders" was chosen as the new name for "ubuntu-universe-contributors". Next Meeting ------------ Following the practice of scheduling the next meeting two weeks in advance, and shifting by 8 hours the next meeting will be 9th may, 4UTC.
