Hi Sam, I think what you are looking for is https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/+spec/sdk-app-settings. However this is still a work in progress. Until this is finished, you might want to consider using U1db to store your data persistently. That's what I am doing in the clock app. W
