I understand, but I think that is only a work around to solve a problem.
Better will be to allow get data when screen is off (to save battery).

It's fixed for me (I fix all my mp3 tags) but it's a really bad bug:
- Cpu used by mediascanner (infinite loop)
- Cpu used by rapport (one rapport raised every 4 seconds)
- Slow phone/Battery usage
