Hi Jackson & Nicholas,
one of the comments from the edit of
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Activities/ is that we do not mention
hack-fests. Would it be better to have a hack-fest header page (similar in
layout to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/Activities/Classroom ) where the
various hack-fests

Hey Jackson,
Great you are having this test done in august. Allows enough time for
everyone interested in attending to clear time from their busy schedule.
I am free on Sundays. Anytime will do. Hangouts or irc will do fine.

Hello Jackson et. al,
I don't think it is a good idea to wait until the Hackfest. Translators do
not normally subscribe to this list, and hacking on Testdrive may not seem
to be a good idea for them. I will send off an email tomorrow evening (UTC
time) to the Ubuntu and Launchpad's translation lis
After the hackfest might be better, i want to see how much of a
turnout we get.
that said, i can't stop you.

For the translations, should I send a call for translations in Launchpad

Hello Jackson et. al,
I don't think it is a good idea to have a Google+ Hangout all day long, we
don't have enough manpower to do a 24-hour marathon just on Testdrive
business (we aren't the Ubuntu Community Team, don't forget).

Good point. maybe if we have two, hour long segments where the hangout
is open. (maybe 1200 and 2000) I'd say the hackfest itself goes all
day (in irc) though, that will help with numbers.

G+ hangout's is a good idea. i'll make one that runs all day.
I'm working on a wiki page for the hackfest, i'll link it soon.
Which weekend in august does everyone want? I can get to any, with the
possible exception of the 24th and 25th.
Also, should it cross over friday night or saturday night?
Hello Ubuntu and Lubuntu QA Team,
It's great that Jackson will finally hold a Testdrive Hackfest for us. I
got my UbuntuKylin Testdrive code merged in just today, which is great.
As for time, it will be difficult for me to join Jackson, since when he is
morning I am sleeping, and when we are both
Hi Jackson,
great news about the hackfest; get it all updated. Having testdrive working
with the updated VBox and KVM will be good. The new VBox version should be
in the repos now. As to the new members of the ubuntu family who got added
last cycle, I do hope you guys can get this all sorted out f
i'll be able to tell you in a few hours when my update finishes. there were
a few issue at beta 1 that i think are fixed
