Can somebody explain, is this bug fixed in hardy packages?
A lot of comments, and not a single clear report!!!
If it is not fixed... Is there a patch for local script in initramfs-
tools and mdadm or is there any rebuilt package with the fixes?
Currently in Hardy i got:

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?

I have documentation to write with screenshot from likewise-open-gui,
and this typo just cannot get into it. I have a package for hardy that
fix it in my PPA:

Ok, I cant really help much anymore as I have purged everything with
samba or smb in the name and reinstalled samba and everything works now.
I guess there was a dodgy conf file somewhere and purging instead of
just removing samba stuff seemed to have cured my libpam-smbpass issues.

The above solution is not entirely right, as the open-iscsi init script
will be run after /etc/rcS.d/mountall.sh, which mean that filesystem in
/etc/fstab that reside on iSCSI will not be available when mountall.sh

Testing with n-m-openvpn doesn't show a regression. That said it doesn't
work very well with rc9-3 (in particular it doesn't like openvpn soft-
restarts very much), will follow up with corresponding n-m-openvpn bugs.
