I am running Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 with the latest patches and in Administration-Printing-New Printer-Network Printer I do not have any "Windows printer via SAMBA" option. The printer I am trying to print is valid and working (several other windows boxes print to it). smbclient -L also shows correctly

just install smbclient .. you can do this in the command window, not abslotuley sure but I think it is something like: sudo apt-get install smbclient Make sure that samba is not loaded when you do this. you need to do a stop on samba if it is running. This worked great fro me under Ubuntu 9.04 and

Public bug reported: I disabled AppArmor on my machine, but the update insists on starting it. This prevents mysql from starting, because the apparmor profiles are bogus. Please leave AppArmor alone during update. It's disabled. I removed apparmor completely from /etc/init.d to fix this properly.

The mysql apparmor profiles work fine for me here (Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04). Please describe what you mean by the profiles being "bogus" in considerably more depth. Please be constructive -- suggest imrpovements to them if you feel they are needed. If you have chosen to manually move MySQL database
