Okay, I thought ufw was enable during the samba installed. I did not install or
activate it manual.
I think it would be to hard to figure out why it was enabled on my system.
I second, that a firewall should not open any ports automatically without user
interaction.
If samba does not activate
I have confirmed the issue as described by Nathan on kvm in Jaunty.
I have also confirmed that this problem does *not* exist in Karmic.

I'm having the exact same problem after upgrading to Karmic. I've used
Ubuntu since Feisty and this is the first time I ever experienced
problems with X forwarding on SSH. It worked fine on Jaunty. Basically
I'm experiencing the same issues as reported:
