Thanks Scott. I just checked that branch and it looks like it has
everything I need.
Would it be possible for Ubuntu vmbuilder team to quickly pull together
a 0.11.4 release for Karmic that would have support for 'Lucid' and
'Maverick'? That way we could also downgrade to it in Lucid until the

Statement of Impact: DRBD in lucid had a bug that will build a module
for all kernels with headers of a running kernel. This bug will be fixed
in maverick as soon as it is reproduce there.
The patch attached to this bug will fix the issue in lucid.

great, thanks!! i installed the two libvirt{0,-bin} packages from
Maverick and testing right now.
Sadly the memory leak is still there for me... If i leave the unmodified
/lib/udev/rules.d/95-multipath.rules
in operation the memory usage of libvirtd grows around 15M in 1

double check... there is nothing in /var/log/syslog when slapd stops
responding?
Another idea might be to run slapd in a terminal with the -d -1 option
in order to capture it's debug output.

I don't have to upgrade to Lucid. Hardy is still supported. I downgraded
(reinstalled) the server from Lucid to hardy to test stability of some

I just hit this autofs bug (connecting to a Solaris NFS server). I tried
restarting autofs but that didn't help. I thought I'd note this here as

Hmm, I have to give some extra information.
The server running libvirt-bin is hardy. Virt-manager, however, is
running on Lucid. Could it be that Lucid's virt-manager creates
configuration files that can't be read by older libvirt-bin versions?
