There seems to be something odd related to the workgroup name.
Samba server is up and running since resources can be accessed using IP
directly, but Win XP can't get the workgroup name at all fron Ubuntu. XP
keeps telling, the Ubuntu server workgoup is unknown.

I upgraded two different systems. One at my home and the other at my office.
The problem was the same on both. It got stuch at the same point, i.e.
.1%3a1.2.12.
If the problem was the same on both systems, the reason of getting the
directory
locked may not be deliber
It was Ok when I installed openSSH on this May as soon as ubuntu 10.04 LTS came
out.
It encountered the same problem as described above when I make another new
installation this afternoon.
It was resolved after runnig ssh-add ~/.ssh/id_rsa as said on these comments.

having similar problem here, i am using lucid on a T61 lenovo.
and i get random problem when connecting to my servers using SSH.
