Deadlock in n_tty_read()

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: php5
When running drush to update my Drupal installation (both not from repo)
the command deadlocked in n_tty_read().
Additional debug info:
Description:Ubuntu 10.10
Release:10.10
Linux MyServer.example 2.6.35-22-server #35-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oc
Okay, so it appears to be a problem with something that is saved in the
image. I can use the full cmd and it runs...
sudo /usr/bin/kvm -M pc-0.12 -enable-kvm -m 1024 -smp 1 -name newtuna
-uuid 21a3c860-05b0-5dcf-cc8c-9243604f8e9b -localtime -boot c -drive
file=win1.img -drive
file=/mnt/isos/win200
The cleanup on exception was commented out.
If there isn't a reason for that then the attached patch runs cleanup on
BaseException (to catch interrupts) and after post_install, which
removes the iso mount.
** Patch added: "Cleanup after interrupt, exception and at end."

Serge,
The version of windows I am using is, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2
Enterprise Edition.
The kvm command I tested was:
kvm -drive file=/mnt/slices/newtuna.qcow2,if=virtio,index=0,boot=on -m 1G
-vnc :1
and that gave me the same result, blank screen, high cpu usage.
I just

Why was this closed? It's still occurring for me. "Fixing" it by setting
a certain hostname is a workaround, not a fix.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: squid
When shutting down squid, squid waits for 30 seconds (shutdown_lifetime
setting) even if no active client is present, however, the doc says it
would.
Moreover the doc says that this also applies to SIGHUP, but
(fortunately...) it doesn't.
Proposed
Not adding -N, but instead replacing expect fork with expect daemon does
not work as upstart will wait for the middle process to exit, which it
never does.

https://bugs.la
It seems that what is happening is that squid forks twice to demonize,
but the "middle" process "forgets" to exit, and keeps hanging around.
# ps auxww | fgrep squid
root 2593 0.0 0.1 31792 4884 ?S01:27 0:03 /usr/bin/perl
/usr/sbin/squid-prefetch

I didn't see a debug log appear; is there something special I need to do
to get it? Are you unable to duplicate this bug? What options are you
using that are different from mine?
