configured instead of taking them down. I can make the argument that
Network Manager is a tool to make it easy for the user to control
network interfaces, but
Shutdown is definitely on the radar for heavy testing this cycle, and I
hope to have a good solution for this bug soon. The bug in sendsigs
should hopefully become moot as we transition the shutdown to a more
upstart-aware solution.

that dbus is stopped too early. network-manager stops whenever dbus
stops, because it is needed. We currently stop dbus "on runlevel [06]"

added the STP options to my test environment. Following that, I am now
able to ping to the remote system using the following bonding modes :

For unknown reasons, I'm still unable to use balance-
(The fix is applied in natty, so marking fix released. Nominated for
lucid and maverick which do not have the fix applied)
