I have a few VMs (precise) that process high-volume transaction jobs
each night. After I've done a live-migrate operation to replace faulty
power supply on a bare-metal server, we encountered sluggish performance
on the migrated VMs, significant higher CPU is recorded in particular,

following fixes:
* reload configuration always works and all events are preserved
* the postinst script was modified to not execute stateful re-exec if runlevel
2 has not been reached yet

Actually, I think I spoke too soon. It looks like reload AND graceful
cause apache2 to segfault. Only a full restart or stopping/starting
apache2 seem to get it going again.

Same problem here as Matthew. Upgraded 12.04 -> 12.10 -> 13.04.
removed the pamd/vsftpd, no success. Used the one above, no success.
Added my user to the ftp group
did allow anon ftp. No success.
When I used the pam config above, I got an error, indicating that it is
not seaching for 64-bit PAM

Here is the console log. I've stripped out the updating and downloading
sections:
$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install bacula-director-mysql
[..]
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
linux-headers-3.2.0-23-generic linux-headers-3.2
Though I was able to reproduce it earlier, now that we've upgraded, it
has been fixed.
However I've added 2 extra tests that should make doubly sure.
