my understanding is there are a bunch of usb interfaces:
uhci is usb 1.0
ehci is usb 2.0
xhci is usb 3.0

-device piix3-usb-uhci will create an usb 1.0 interface. I guess usb 1.0
is insufficent for modern usb devices so windows errors with code 10.

When configuring Pacemaker to set up iSCSI targets using the LIO
implementation option, the iSCSILogicalUnit resource agent does not
correctly assign the LUN to the ACL within LIO.
This appears to have been fixed in the git repo.
I'd like to request that this fix is backport

Hi, I had the same problem. Tested a lot. My solution to passthrough usb
devices to a windows 7 x64 guest:
parameter part:
-device usb-ehci,id=usb,bus=pci.0,addr=0x4 -device usb-
host,vendorid=0x{},productid=0x{},id=hostdev0,bus=usb.0
I also tried the device
piix4-usb-uhci
instead of usb-ehci
Problem seems a change in new dist logrotate for Apache2
(/etc/logrotate.d/apache2):
I change this line:
create 640 root adm
Into:
create 644 root adm
As this was the default in my previous version of
/etc/logrotate.d/apache2

Yes, I never thought of it as an LXC bug in the first place. Whatever
installs that job (cloud-init? our cloud image build process?) ought to
change the upstart job to only start up if such a device exists in the
first place.

lxc-start-ephemeral doesn't attach to /dev/console but to /dev/tty1
which is why you don't see the boot messsages or that error.
Unfortunately there isn't a great deal we can do about this in LXC, the
best fix is to change the upstart job to only start with "and not-
container". A better fix would
FWIW, the original error message is usually caused by one of:
- Server using ksplice which breaks the veth driver, requires a reboot
- Machine with kernel module version mismatch causing the veth driver to fail
to load
- Machine with a kernel lacking veth support or missing the .ko or depmod en
I have fixed this by adding the missing mkdir to the packaging a day or
so ago after I introduced the bug, so new installations should now work
fine.

I'm closing the lxc task as there's nothing we can do in lxc itself to
avoid this, the upstart and kernel patches will solve this for us.
Btw, the branch proposed by James above does work fine for me and has
since been accepted upstream, the next upload should include this fix.
