2. purged maas
3. re-installed maas and the result was:

I've run the package under adt-run and it passes.
After installing and running in a VM using virtio-scsi configured as

the "pecl" command that is installed, does not
Just using ssh and all the ecryptfs problems are gone.
I think ecrypfts should provide a better explanation, when it cant
access the keyring.

Running the "pecl" command results in an error, as it is not PHP 7
compatible. That is despite "phpize" and "php"

I've redone the basic smoke testing for verifying just the package upgrades.
No issues were found during testing.
These tests do not include full Ubuntu release upgrades; They were only run on
16.04.
To include 5.5 I rebuilt it from the current 5.5.47 source in Debian. The 5.6
